JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, has added another distinction to its record of educational achievements, with Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima and Director Sunakshi Anand felicitated at The Economic Times Edupreneurs 2026 in Chandigarh.
The prestigious platform recognised 26 prominent leaders in school education for their contribution to the transformation of India’s educational landscape. The event, organised by the Times of India Group in association with the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), brought together educationists and institutional leaders to deliberate on the changing role of schools in preparing students for a technology-driven and rapidly evolving world.
Aima was recognised for her visionary leadership and efforts towards creating a learning environment that goes beyond conventional academic achievement, with emphasis on curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, confidence and character-building.
Anand, Director Operations, was also honoured with the Edupreneurs 2026 Award for her strategic leadership and commitment to progressive educational practices and institutional excellence.
The event was attended by Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, who called for a shift from a marks-oriented education system towards one that promotes skills, entrepreneurship and innovation. He emphasised the need to prepare students to become job creators rather than merely job seekers, while also stressing the importance of confidence, compassion, resilience and strong moral and ethical values.
The programme also featured a panel discussion on “Reimagining School Education for Viksit Bharat 2047”, which examined the need for experiential, multidisciplinary and learner-centric approaches in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The discussion also focused on vocational education, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, financial literacy, inclusivity and equitable access to quality education as key elements of preparing students for the future.
For Jammu Sanskriti School, the recognition marks another significant acknowledgement of its leadership and educational approach. The honour for Aima and Anand places the institution among schools whose leadership is seeking to align academic learning with wider skills, values and future-oriented capabilities.
