LEH: Indian Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma has reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the challenging high-altitude areas of Ladakh.
Lt Gen Sharma visited forward areas of the Union Territory on Friday, where he interacted with troops and officers deployed on the ground, the Army’s Northern Command said in a post on X.
During the visit, the Army Commander lauded all ranks for their exemplary professionalism, high morale, unwavering vigilance and steadfast commitment to duty despite the difficult weather conditions and demanding terrain.
Lt Gen Sharma also emphasised the importance of maintaining discipline, physical fitness and regular training to ensure continued operational effectiveness.
He stressed that innovation, greater synergy and enhancement of technological capabilities must remain key focus areas to keep troops mission-ready across domains and achieve excellence in all spheres.
The visit comes amid the Army’s continued focus on maintaining a high degree of operational readiness in Ladakh’s strategically important and harsh high-altitude sectors.
