REASI: A three-day Capacity Building Programme on 21st Century Skills concluded today at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Reasi.
The objective of the programme was to equip teachers with contemporary knowledge, competencies and professional skills required to meet the evolving demands of education in the 21st century.
The resource persons namely HoD Vandana Magotra; Lecturer & HOD Bindiya Langer; Master Rattan Sharma; Teacher Sanjeev Proach and Teacher Ritika Rajput deliberated upon critical components of 21st century learning, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, digital literacy, life skills and value education. The sessions remained interactive and focused on practical classroom transactions.
A special awareness session on the Three New Criminal Laws – Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) was also organised by the DIET authorities. The session was led by Teacher Babu Bhatti, who explained the key provisions of the three new criminal laws in detail, the inherent legal reforms and their relevance for educators and citizens.
The programme was held under the guidance of the Principal Deepak Kumar Gupta and coordinated by HoD Riaz Hussain and Coordinator B. D Dubey.
The participating teachers appreciated the initiative of DIET and stated that such programmes will go a long way in making teaching-learning more effective and learner-centric.
