JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered the transfer and posting of seven officers of the Mining Department with immediate effect, besides directing the District Mineral Officers of Anantnag and Kulgam to swap their present places of posting.
The transfers were ordered through Government Order No. 47-JK(MNG) of 2026, dated August 21, 2026, issued by the Mining Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Kashmir.
According to the order, Javaid Ahmad Malik, JKAS, who was awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Pulwama.
Kaiser Ahmed Lone, Geologist Grade-III, presently posted in the Office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as District Mineral Officer, Baramulla.
Umar Mustafa Mir, Geologist Grade-III, presently serving in the Office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Ganderbal. His posting will relieve Ghulam Nabi Pintoo, District Mineral Officer, Bandipora, of the additional charge of the post.
Ranjit Singh, Driller, presently posted in the Office of the Senior Drilling Engineer, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as District Mineral Officer, Budgam.
Mohammad Saleem Dar, I/C Mineral Officer, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Pulwama, has been transferred to the Office of the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir.
Zulfikar Mohammad Shafi, Driller, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Baramulla, has been transferred to the Office of the Senior Drilling Engineer, Geology and Mining, Kashmir.
Nadeem Ahmad Bhat, Junior Engineer (Chemical), presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Budgam, has been transferred and posted at the Chemical & Mineral Testing Laboratory (CMT), Budgam.

The government further ordered that Faisal Masood Wani, Driller, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Anantnag, and Khursheed Ahmad Dar, Chemist, presently posted as District Mineral Officer, Kulgam, shall swap their present places of posting.
Accordingly, Faisal Masood Wani will move to Kulgam, while Khursheed Ahmad Dar will take over as District Mineral Officer, Anantnag.
The order further states that the officers shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present places of posting.
The order has been issued by Ashwani Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Mining Department, by order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
