JAMMU: At least one person was killed and two others were injured after a truck met with an accident in the Kalai area of Poonch district on Saturday morning.
Officials said a loaded truck was on its way from Jammu to Poonch when the driver reportedly lost control near Kalai. The vehicle rolled down the roadside, leading to the fatal accident.
The deceased has been identified as Maksood Ahmad. The injured have been identified as Sajad Ahmad (22), son of Mohd Afzal, resident of Sarikhawaja, and Zahoor Ahmad (21), son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Fatapur.
Both injured persons were shifted to the District Hospital Poonch for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
