SHOPIAN: Police in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir have unearthed an intra-UT terror financing module and arrested 10 alleged overground workers (OGWs), officials said on Friday.
The arrests followed a focused investigation into suspected financial networks allegedly linked to terrorist activities, officials said.
During the probe, investigators analysed suspicious online financial transactions conducted through various payment platforms, tracing money trails across multiple layers.
The investigation reportedly revealed a wider network of individuals allegedly involved in terror financing and having links with terrorists and their associates lodged in different jails, officials said.
Ten alleged associates of terrorists have been arrested in connection with the case so far, they added.
