JAMMU: The Alumni Committee of MIER College of Education organized a special Experience-Sharing Session on September 26, 2025, at the H.L. Gupta Auditorium.
The guest speaker was the college’s distinguished alumnus, Dr. Ankush Jasrotia, Assistant Professor at Sant Baba Singh University, Punjab.
The session was attended by students of B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education (Semester III), Session 2024–2026.
The programme began with a warm welcome and introduction of the guest by Arpana Koul, Incharge Alumni Committee, who highlighted Dr. Jasrotia’s academic achievements and his journey from MIER College student to accomplished educator.
In his address, Dr. Jasrotia shared valuable insights from his professional journey, underscoring the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and a student-centered approach in teaching. He reflected on challenges and opportunities in the teaching profession, while offering practical strategies for classroom management and professional growth. His motivational talk struck a chord with the audience, followed by an engaging interactive Q&A session.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal of MIER College of Education, appreciated the initiative of the Alumni Committee, emphasizing that such interactions play a vital role in motivating students and preparing them for the ever-evolving field of education.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Diksha Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, who expressed gratitude to Dr. Jasrotia for his inspiring address.
The session was an enriching experience for students, offering them an opportunity to learn from the journey and success of a distinguished alumnus of the college.
