JAMMU: The Indian Air Force (IAF) reportedly served a themed menu on Air Force Day, featuring dishes such as Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Bholari Paneer Methi Malai, Balakot Tiramisu, and Bahawalpur Naan. The menu, widely circulated on social media, appeared to reference India’s military achievements in Pakistan, including the strikes during Operation Sindoor.
The menu allegedly highlighted locations like Bholari airbase and Lashkar terror camps in Muridke, as well as Balakot and Muzaffarabad, reflecting the Air Force’s past operational successes. Veterans and journalists shared images of the menu on X, which quickly went viral, though the authenticity of the circulating images cannot be independently verified.
During preparations ahead of Air Force Day, two aircraft — a Lockheed Martin C-130J and an Antonov An-32 — were reportedly spotted over Agra with the call signs ‘Rafiqui’ and ‘Shehbaz’, which were seen as a reference to Pakistan’s Rafiqui airbase and its Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Rafiqui airbase, named after 1965 war hero Squadron Leader Sarfaraz Ahmed Rafiqui, hosts multiple squadrons of JF-17 and Mirage fighter jets along with utility helicopters. Strategically located in central Punjab, the base is critical for Pakistan’s air defence network and rapid deployment across eastern and western fronts.
The themed menu has sparked widespread discussion on social media, showcasing the IAF’s innovative way of commemorating Air Force Day while highlighting India’s defence capabilities.
