RAJOURI: In a major breakthrough, Rajouri Police, in a joint operation with 54 Rashtriya Rifles (Romeo Force), busted a terror module and arrested a terror associate during a coordinated operation in Nowshera.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, security forces apprehended Sachin Kumar alias Pamma, son of Seejay Kumar and a resident of Sehar, Nowshera.
During the search, the joint team recovered two foreign-made pistols and ammunition from his possession. The seizure includes one TISAS Zigana 9mm pistol along with three magazines (made in Turkey), one .30 bore TT-30 Norinco pistol with one magazine (made in China), and 15 rounds of 9mm live ammunition.
A case under FIR No. 37/2026 has been registered at Police Station Nowshera under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the accused was in direct contact with a Pakistan-based cross-border narco-terror operative. Authorities are probing the wider network and possible links associated with the module.
