JAMMU: Jammu Police have taken cognizance of a viral video circulating on social media that showed a Baleno car obstructing an ambulance on its way to Narayana Hospital in the Nagrota area.
Following swift action, FIR No. 209/2025 has been registered at Police Station Nagrota under Sections 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 194-E and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA). The investigation into the case has been formally initiated.
The vehicle involved — a Baleno (Registration No. JK02BP-2401) — has been seized, and the accused driver has been arrested.
Police have reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against reckless driving and obstruction of emergency services, emphasizing that such acts endanger lives and will not be tolerated.
