JAMMU: A plantation drive was organised at the Divisional Commissioner’s office in Jammu on the eve of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2026, promoting environmental conservation and reinforcing the spirit of national unity.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Vikas Kundal led the drive alongside senior administrative officers. The programme was organised by the Urban Forestry Division, Jammu.
Divisional Forest Officer, Urban Forestry Division, Ashwani Kumar, participated in the drive along with field staff.
The programme was followed by the administration of the Unity Pledge in the conference hall of the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Vikas Kundal administered the pledge, reaffirming the collective commitment to national unity, integrity and togetherness.
The event highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and collective responsibility in upholding the ideals of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
