JAMMU: The Pesticide Testing Laboratory (PTL), Jammu has achieved another significant milestone by securing continued accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, valid up to 20th September, 2029.
The continued accreditation is a recognition of the Laboratory’s sustained commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, technical competence, reliable analytical testing and continual improvement in its services.
A major achievement accompanying the continued accreditation is the substantial expansion of the Laboratory’s analytical capabilities. The Pesticide Testing Laboratory, Jammu, is now equipped to undertake testing of 59 pesticide formulations, covering a wider range of formulations used in the agricultural sector.
Significantly, the Laboratory has also developed the capability to undertake analysis of double-molecule pesticide formulations, marking a notable advancement in its technical capacity.
This capability has been achieved for the first time in the history of the Pesticide Testing Laboratory, Jammu, representing an important step towards strengthening pesticide quality assessment in the region.
