KISHTWAR: Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Manoj Kumar today visited Block Warwan and conducted a comprehensive review of the implementation of the developmental schemes and programmes in the block.
During the review meeting, the ACD took a detailed assessment of the implementation of VB-GRAM-G, with particular emphasis on Person-Days (PDs) generation as per the prescribed normative allocation, especially against the funds released for the first quarter (Q1). He directed the field functionaries to ensure maximum generation of PDs before commencement of the pause period from 15 October to 13 November, while simultaneously focusing on both wage employment and creation of durable community assets.
The ACD stressed upon 100% e-KYC of left-out Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card (GRGC) holders and skilled/semi-skilled workers. . He also reviewed the status of pending material payments and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely and uninterrupted payment of wages under VB-GRAM-G, besides timely settlement of admissible material liabilities. The progress under District Capex/UT Capex and ABDP/APDP was also reviewed.
Later, the ACD undertook an extensive field visit and inspected developmental works at Afti, Margi, Sukhnie, Choidraman and Basmina. During the inspections, he instructed the field staff to install Citizen Information Boards (CIBs) at every worksite for greater transparency and public awareness.
The ACD also interacted with locals and sensitized them to the provisions and benefits of the newly implemented VB-GRAM-G Scheme.
The visit also covered Sukhnaie, the last Gram Panchayat/village of the district, underscoring the administration’s commitment to reaching the remotest areas and ensuring effective implementation of developmental programmes and welfare schemes on the ground.
The ACD was accompanied by BDO Warwan Irshad Ahmed Waza, along with Junior Engineers, Panchayat Secretaries, Panchayat Account Assistants, MIS Operator, Gram Rozgar Sahayaks and other field functionaries.
