JAMMU: Seventeen-year-old Avyukt Mahajan from Jammu has brought laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by securing the Mr Teen India 2026 Runner-Up title at the grand finale of the national pageant held in New Delhi.
The other title holders included R. Kautilya from Hyderabad and First Runner-Up Aditya Bansal from Mumbai.
Avyukt, a student of Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, is the son of Meenu Mahajan, who was crowned First Mrs India from Jammu and Kashmir in 2016, and businessman Varun Mahajan.
The pageant, described as one of India’s oldest teen pageants, was initiated in 1997 by late Bollywood actor Amrish Puri. It is organised under the banner of Alee Club Miss and Mr Teen India, with Ramp Guru Sambita Bose and M.M. Mehta serving as directors.
The competition focuses not only on appearance but also on intelligence quotient, personality, confidence, communication skills, stage presence and overall grooming.
Auditions were held across various states, with around 500 contestants selected for the semi-finals. After multiple rounds of evaluation, 42 participants advanced to the grand finale.
Representing Jammu and Kashmir, Avyukt finished among the Top 3 winners and also won the ‘Beautiful Smile’ sub-title.
His performance was judged by a panel comprising Bollywood personalities Arbaaz Khan, Imran Khan, Ayub Khan, Pooja Bannerji and Shahbaz Khan, besides Justice Dr Sudhir Kumar Jain.
Avyukt’s achievement has placed young talent from Jammu and Kashmir in the national spotlight and is being seen as an encouraging milestone for teenagers from the region aspiring to make a mark in personality, fashion and related fields.
At just 17, his success highlights the confidence, determination and potential of the Union Territory’s younger generation.
