JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu has brought laurels to the region with an outstanding performance at the Global Youth Film Festival (GYFF) 2025, powered by the Institute of Moving Images (IMM) – The Film School, in collaboration with the Government Museum and Art Gallery (GM&AC), Chandigarh.
The school created history by winning four prestigious awards, firmly establishing itself as a hub for young cinematic talent. The student-produced film “Taleem” emerged as one of the most acclaimed entries of the festival, earning widespread appreciation from both the jury and the audience.

The achievement highlights the institution’s strong focus on creativity, innovation, and experiential learning.
Expressing pride over the accomplishment, Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson, said the success reflects the school’s vision of nurturing creativity, confidence, and critical thinking among students. She described Taleem as an expression of values, sensitivity, and youthful imagination, and lauded the students and mentors for their dedication and excellence, which earned the school national and international recognition.
A key contributor to the success was Arun Salaria, Head of the Drishtant Theatre Club, whose mentorship and supervision guided students through every stage of filmmaking—from conceptualisation to execution. His artistic direction played a crucial role in shaping Taleem into an award-winning film.
The film was the result of collective student effort, with contributions from Sarangveer Singh (Script Writer, Assistant Director & Cinematographer), Sanidhya Salgotra (Editor), Kanakreet Kour (Manager), and actors Samiksha Kumari, Shreya Sharma, Daksh Chandel, and Vivek Maandi.
The entire Jammu Sanskriti School fraternity, along with parents and the local community, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Taleem team. The remarkable success at GYFF 2025 has not only inspired aspiring young filmmakers but has also further strengthened the school’s reputation as a pioneer in holistic education and artistic excellence.
