SRINAGAR, Sept 4: An IndiGo aircraft operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar came into contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while being positioned at Bay No. 06 at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning.
According to Srinagar Airport, IndiGo flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG) was involved in the incident at around 9:02 am during the parking process.
All passengers and crew members on board were reported safe, with no injuries. They were deboarded from the aircraft using manual aircraft stairs.
Airport authorities said the circumstances leading to the incident would be examined by the appropriate authorities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
“The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage,” the airport said.
Meanwhile, flight operations at Srinagar Airport remained normal, with arrivals and departures continuing as scheduled.
