SHIMLA: Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Thursday called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan in what was described as a courtesy meeting.
During the interaction, Pathania apprised the Governor of the meetings, programmes and other activities proposed to be held during the forthcoming Monsoon Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
The Governor and the Speaker also exchanged views on matters concerning the effective functioning of the Legislature and ways to further strengthen democratic institutions in the state.
Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Yashpal Sharma was also present on the occasion.
