A distinguished educationist and trainer, Mehta brings extensive expertise in teacher well-being, safeguarding, inclusion, pedagogy, and coaching, having served as Headmistress, Principal, and Assistant Principal in leading UAE schools. She is also internationally certified in Inspection Framework and Level 3 Safeguarding.
The workshops aimed to enhance teacher well-being, professional growth, and early years’ pedagogy. The day began with a welcome address by Vandana Jasrotia, Mentor at Heritage School, followed by the session ‘Thrive for Teachers – A Well-being & Professional Growth Program’ for all staff from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Senior Library.
Mehta guided teachers on mindfulness, stress management, journaling, gratitude exercises, and practical strategies to maintain work-life balance, linking personal well-being to adaptive classroom teaching. The session concluded with discussions on affirmations and self-motivation to foster confidence and positivity in the school community.
The second session, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., was designed for the kindergarten staff. Mehta observed classroom teaching, providing insights to enhance empathetic engagement with young learners. She guided teachers on designing curricula that nurture emotional skills, integrate music and movement, promote creativity, and focus on holistic learning experiences over excessive writing. The session emphasized incorporating the EHI spirit in a meaningful and condensed manner.
The workshops combined reflection with practical strategies, leaving teachers inspired and better equipped to support their students. Mehta highlighted that when schools prioritize the inner well-being of their community, they create safe, thriving spaces where every child can excel.
On this occasion, Akash Pradhan, Principal of Heritage School, presented Mehta with a school memento. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur, expressing gratitude for Mehta’s enriching sessions and their lasting impact on all participants.
