JAMMU: Heritage School conducted a Dental Screening Camp on 14th and 15th October 2025 at the school premises, in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Government Dental College and Hospital, Amphalla.
The initiative was part of the ongoing Wellness Week celebrations, aimed at promoting oral health awareness and preventive care among students from Classes I to XII. Around 2,500 students were screened during the two-day camp.
A dedicated team of doctors from the dental college – Dr. Bhavna Koul, Dr. Iqbal Singh, Dr. Amneet Kaur, Dr. Ankita Gupta, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, and Dr. Manisha Koul – conducted the screenings and interacted with the students. They emphasized the importance of maintaining oral hygiene, shared tips for healthy dental habits, and advised on preventive care measures.
The Principal of Heritage School extended heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Praveen Akhter Lone, Principal of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College and Hospital, for her support in organising the camp and deputing a team of skilled doctors.
The camp also included interactive sessions to educate students and teachers on dental trauma, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures. The initiative reinforced Heritage School’s commitment to fostering overall health, hygiene, and well-being among its students.
