LEH: The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, on Saturday called on Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, to review the prevailing situation in Leh and the Union Territory at large.
The discussions centered on the overall security environment, emerging challenges in the region, and the importance of strengthening coordination between the civil administration and armed forces to ensure peace and stability. Both sides stressed the need for preparedness and synergy in addressing any potential contingencies.
The Lt Governor lauded the Army’s role in safeguarding Ladakh’s borders and ensuring the safety of its people. In turn, the Northern Army Commander reaffirmed the Army’s unwavering commitment to the security and integrity of the Union Territory.
The meeting was also attended by GOC 14 Corps, Maj Gen Dalbir Singh, MGGS Northern Command, and Col Vikas Vasisht, Deputy Military Advisor to the Northern Army Commander.
