PANAJI: Goa is gearing up to welcome filmmakers, artists, and cinema lovers from across the globe as it hosts the 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) from November 20 to 28. The nine-day festival will showcase an extensive lineup of film screenings, cultural performances and industry-focused events.
The festival will open tomorrow with a Grand Opening Parade featuring vibrant tableaus from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Goa, along with displays by leading film studios. A special 50-year tribute by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) will be among the highlights of the parade. Folk artists from various regions of India will add colour and energy to the procession.
With just hours to go, preparations across Goa are in full swing. Authorities are finalizing key infrastructure and logistics to ensure a smooth, safe and memorable experience for delegates, participants, tourists and media personnel.
