SAMBA: NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organised a Tiranga Rally in and around the college campus.
The rally was organised under Independence Day Celebrations in conjunction with the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
The rally was flagged off by Principal of the college Dr (Prof.) Ashu Vashisht.
She highlighted that India’s gaining of independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome one witnessing sacrifices of hundreds of unsung heroes. In the rally the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility were also tied to the spirit of Independence.
Students of the college along with NSS volunteers participated in the Tiranga Rally raising slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, “Jai Hind”, “Jai Bharat” and “Inquilab Zindabad”.
The Principal congratulated the organisers and students for their active participation in the rally. The entire event was organised with the full support and coordination of the senior faculty members of the college.
