UDHAMPUR: The PG Department of English, Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur organized an online guest lecture for PG and Major English students on career opportunities after B.A. and M.A. in English and preparation strategies for UGC NET English.
The lecture was delivered by noted educator and online mentor AKS Rajveer, who interacted with students and provided valuable academic and career-oriented guidance. The initiative to organize the session was taken by Dr. Nikita Gandotra, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who has previously collaborated with AKS Rajveer on the online learning platform Unacademy, where both began their teaching journey.
The session aimed to provide clarity to students regarding diverse career prospects in the field of English studies and effective preparation strategies for competitive examinations. AKS Rajveer, a renowned YouTuber with over 2.7 lakh subscribers, has made significant contributions to online education through his consistent and dedicated efforts.
During the lecture, he elaborated on various career options available after graduation and post-graduation in English, including teaching, research, content development, civil services, and other allied fields. He also shared practical strategies for cracking the UGC NET examination, emphasizing conceptual clarity, disciplined study routines, and goal-oriented preparation.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in the interactive discussion and sought guidance on academic and career-related concerns. The lecture proved highly motivating, with students expressing renewed focus and determination to achieve their academic and professional goals.
