JAMMU: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu proudly celebrated its 27th Investiture Ceremony with grandeur under the inspiring theme “Sankalp Se Siddhi Ki Aur – Lead to Inspire.” The event highlighted the school’s steadfast commitment to fostering leadership, integrity, and service among its students.
The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Industries & Commerce Department, J&K; Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu; and Dr. Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu.
The occasion also saw the presence of distinguished DPS Jammu alumni — Aastha Sharma, Judicial Magistrate First Class, District Court Reasi, and CA Reeya Raina, Founder of Reeya Raina & Co.
The celebration was presided over by Pro-Vice Chairperson, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Founder of DPS Jammu, Nagbani, and Katra. Her dynamic leadership, aesthetic vision, and commitment to women empowerment and value-based education continue to guide the institution’s journey of excellence.
In her address, Dr. Ritu Singh encouraged the young council to lead with empathy, humility, and purpose, invoking the spirit of “Ghar Wapsi” — a return to one’s roots and values. She inspired students to become changemakers who uplift others through service, innovation, and compassion, setting a tone of reflection, pride, and hope for the day.
The distinguished guests shared insights from their journeys in public service, academia, and healthcare, motivating students to dream ambitiously while remaining grounded in ethics and hard work. They also unveiled a series of books authored by the Principal, staff, and students of DPS Jammu, reflecting the school’s vibrant literary spirit and creative excellence.
A total of 119 student leaders were formally inducted into the Student Council 2025–26 through the conferral of badges and sashes, followed by the solemn oath administered by Principal Ruchi Chabra. The ceremony featured a soulful Assamese folk song dedicated to legendary singer Zubin Garg and a vibrant dance performance celebrating India’s unity in diversity.
