SRINAGAR: A delegation of Civil Society Forum Kashmir for Health, led by Omar Shafi Trumboo, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed measures to further strengthen the fight against the drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation shared several suggestions and proposals aimed at enhancing coordination among stakeholders and improving awareness, rehabilitation, and enforcement mechanisms to curb substance abuse across the UT.
In another meeting, a public delegation led by Nazir Ahmad Khan, former DDC Chairman Budgam, also met the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to a wide range of developmental issues in Budgam district.
The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to both delegations and assured that the administration remains committed to addressing public concerns and promoting inclusive development across Jammu and Kashmir.
