POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Smart Metering and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, Executive Engineer, JPDCL Aftab Ahmed, AEE STD Kamsar, representatives from J&K Bank, officials from the Grid Station and Grid Chandak, Project Manager NTPC, Managing Director, SJ Transformers, meter readers, technicians and vendors associated with the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of smart metering, RDSS-related works and the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district. He took detailed feedback from the concerned officers and agencies regarding ongoing works, field-level issues and the pace of implementation.
While reviewing the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the Deputy Commissioner called for generating public awareness about the benefits of the scheme.
