KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma today visited village Jamral to inspect the ongoing Agri-Stack activities and take first-hand assessment of the field-level implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Vishav Partap Singh during the visit.
The DC interacted with the field staff engaged in the Agri-Stack exercise and reviewed the progress of the ongoing activities, including the field-level data collection and related agricultural assessment work. He emphasized the importance of accurate and timely data collection for effective planning, monitoring and implementation of agriculture-related interventions.
The ACR apprised the Deputy Commissioner that awareness camps are being organised about the Agri-Stack in identified villages of Nagri, Kathua, Marheen, Hiranagar and Dinga Amb tehsils. He further informed that remaining tehsils of the district will be covered soon. He also briefed about the methodology being followed and the progress achieved so far. The DC directed the concerned teams to maintain accuracy and ensure proper documentation while carrying out the assigned field activities.
Local inhabitants were also present during the visit and interacted with the Deputy Commissioner. He sought their feedback and encouraged them to extend cooperation to the field teams to facilitate smooth completion of the exercise.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the field staff and stressed close coordination among all stakeholders for ensuring the effective implementation of the Agri-Stack activities in the area.
