Agriculture Department Kashmir signs MoU with Department of posts Srinagar to Fast-Track delivery of Sensitive Agricultural Materials, Official Consignments
SRINAGAR: In an important step towards secure, time-bound booking, transmission and delivery of sensitive agricultural materials, samples, documents and official consignments, the agriculture department Kashmir on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Department of Posts.The MOU was signed between Sartaj Ahmad Shah, the Director Agriculture Kashmir and Ramesh Lal Sharma, ASP Headquarter Division Srinagar. Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture Kashmir observed that the signing of MoU with the Department of posts will provide the Agriculture Department an opportunity to fast-track delivery of sensitive items and official consignments through speed post services.

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Home Affairs has posted Danesh Rana, IPS (AGMUT: 1996) to the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the Joint AGMUT cadre following his repatriation from Central Deputation. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the posting will remain in effect until further orders. The order, dated September 1, 2026, was issued with the approval of the competent authority. Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, among other concerned authorities.

JAMMU: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), in collaboration with the Urban Forestry Division Jammu, on Wednesday launched a major Miyawaki plantation drive at the Botanical Garden located behind Tawi Wonderland Park at Bhagwati Nagar. The initiative marks another step in the transformation of the site, which was once used as a legacy waste dumpsite. JMC said the accumulated waste was scientifically processed and the land reclaimed for redevelopment into public spaces, including Tawi Wonderland Park and the Botanical Garden.
