UDHAMPUR: The week-long campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata, Swantantarta ka utsav, swachhata ke sung” was launched today by District Administration Udhampur to promote cleanliness and patriotism. In collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India, a Swachhata Cyclathon rally was organised under Swachh Bharat Mission and Har Ghar Tiranga. UDHAMPUR: A 15-day Summer Internship Programme in Journalism and Mass Media for 5th-semester students of Government Degree College for Women, Udhampur concluded today at District Information Centre Udhampur. The internship was conducted under the guidance of District Information Officer Neeraj Bhargav and supervised by Assistant Information Officer Jiwan Thakur. Students gained hands-on experience in print journalism, digital content creation, reporting and public relations. A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the conclusion of the programme. Addressing the interns, the DIO encouraged them to use such opportunities to deepen their knowledge and strive for excellence in media and communication.
KATHUA: A review meeting of the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) was held at the DC Office Complex, chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Surinder Mohan Sharma to assess progress and strengthen anti-tobacco measures. KISHTWAR: In a considerate gesture to support grieving families, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, today disbursed ₹3.75 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund. The disbursement followed case submissions by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani. An amount of ₹1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of three deceased road accident victims, while ₹75,000 was given to a victim who suffered permanent disability. The families who received compensation were Nandani Devi D/o Kewal Singh R/o Chitto Paddar, Yasir Hussain S/o Mohammad Hussain R/o Nagseni, Tahir Hussain S/o Ranjha R/o Keshwan and Khifitullah S/o Mohd Hanief R/o Chamoti (permanently disabled).
DC Doda inspects development works in Block Ghat, emphasises timely completion and grievance redressal
DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, conducted an extensive inspection of various ongoing development works in Block Ghat (Doda) to review the pace and quality of developmental activities and ensure timely execution of projects for public benefit.
