JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday registered a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against the Head Draftsman in the office of the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division, Poonch.
According to an ACB spokesperson, FIR No. 18/2025 under Sections 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) was registered at PS ACB Jammu following a verification into allegations that the accused public servant had acquired substantial assets—both movable and immovable—disproportionate to his known sources of income, in his own name as well as in the names of family members.
“The verification revealed that the public servant has accumulated huge assets, including a palatial double-storey residential house, luxury vehicles, costly electronic items, and substantial bank balances,” the statement said.
Further, the ACB confirmed that during the investigation, a search warrant was obtained from the Court, and a search was conducted at the residential premises of the accused in Chandan Vihar, Muthi, Jammu, in the presence of independent witnesses and a Magistrate.
The statement concluded that further investigation of the case is ongoing.
