DODA: Government Degree College Kastigarh, in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, observed International Youth Day 2025 with a programme aimed at motivating and empowering young minds.
The highlight of the event was a lecture by Dr Sumit Kotwal on “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”, where he urged students to channel their energy, creativity and leadership skills towards community development, environmental sustainability and technological innovation. He encouraged them to address social challenges proactively and embrace lifelong learning.
Students and faculty also witnessed the live broadcast of the National Launch Event from New Delhi, connecting them virtually to eminent speakers and success stories of young achievers from across the country.
A cleanliness drive was organised to promote sustainable lifestyles among the youth. The programme concluded with an interactive session where students shared their aspirations and reaffirmed their commitment to the values of International Youth Day.
The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof Koshal Kumar Mangotra and supervised by Dr Arjun Singh and Dr Anupam Lata.
