JAMMU: Seventeen students of Heritage School have been awarded the prestigious Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana Scholarship of ₹6000 each, instituted by the Department of Posts under the Government of India.
The scholarship recognises students for their exceptional performance and keen interest in philately—the study and collection of stamps. The achievement stands out as only 40 students were selected from over 500 participants across the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, highlighting the highly competitive nature of the selection process.
The Deen Dayal SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby) Yojana aims to encourage students to take up philately as a meaningful educational pursuit, promoting a deeper understanding of history, culture, geography, and heritage.
The achievement has brought pride to the institution, with the Heritage School family extending heartfelt congratulations to all the scholarship recipients and wishing them continued success in their future endeavours.
