JAMMU: KC Public School hosted the Round Square Regional Conference 2026 from April 2 to 6 on its campus, witnessing participation from 15 prestigious Round Square schools across India.
KC Public School, the only school from Jammu & Kashmir affiliated with the global Round Square association of over 260 schools in 50 countries, organized the conference focusing on six core ideals—Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service.
Participating schools included The Scindia School, The Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Birla Public School, The Shri Ram School Aravali, The Shri Ram School Moulsari, Pathways World School, The Hyderabad Public School, Yadavindra Public School, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Vivek High School, The Emerald Heights International School, Sunbeam School & Hostel, The British Co-ed High School and Vidya Gyan School.
The inaugural ceremony was held at Taj Vivanta on April 3, where Padmashri Balwant Thakur was the chief guest and keynote speaker. The event began with a flag ceremony followed by a cultural programme by KC Public School students showcasing the heritage of Jammu & Kashmir. In his address, Balwant Thakur emphasized the importance of theatre in developing leadership qualities such as confidence, empathy and compassion.
The conference featured a series of activities including barazza group discussions, storytelling sessions by Rajni Dubey, and community service initiatives involving underprivileged children. Delegates also enjoyed a Dogri folk performance by Ravi Raghuvanshi.
On April 4, delegates participated in environmental activities and later visited Sky Soarr, where entrepreneur Siddhant Chowdhary delivered a keynote address, sharing his leadership journey and global experiences.
The final day featured a keynote by actor and entrepreneur Vishakha Singh, followed by discussions, cultural performances, and a fundraising event titled ‘Jammu Bazaar’. The conference concluded with a closing ceremony where Conference President Aseemta Gupta presented the conference statement summarizing the collective learning outcomes.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary and Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra expressed gratitude to participating schools and appreciated the efforts of students and staff in organizing the successful conference.
