JAMMU: A grand Deep Mala programme was organised on Thursday evening at the Warehouse area to commemorate the completion of two years of the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The programme was organised under the leadership of Deepak Gupta, President of the Traders Federation Warehouse–Nehru Market.
On the occasion, traders and employees decorated the main road of the warehouse by inscribing “Jai Shri Ram” with flowers and lighting 501 earthen lamps, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere. The event resonated with chants glorifying Lord Shri Ram, while priests performed special prayers accompanied by Vedic mantras. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra.
Devotees offered flowers at the feet of Lord Shri Ram and took a pledge to follow the ideals and path shown by Him. Traders also offered lotus flowers at the holy feet of Shri Ram Lalla as a symbol of devotion and unwavering faith.
Addressing the gathering, Federation President Deepak Gupta said that the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla was being celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour to spread the message of values and idealism in society. He described Lord Shri Ram as Maryada Purushottam, an ideal human being who incarnated on earth to destroy evil and protect society and saints by defeating arrogant forces like Ravan.
Gupta further said that through devotion to parents and adherence to high moral values, Lord Shri Ram showed a new path to society. He urged the youth to adopt Lord Shri Ram as their ideal and follow His footsteps to serve and safeguard society. Emphasising His timeless relevance, he said that Lord Shri Ram has always been the protector of society and that today’s youth must follow His teachings to guide the nation in the right direction.
Senior Vice President Dheeraj Mahajan, Vice President Vishal Gupta, General Secretary Abhimanyu Gupta, Secretary Rahul Gupta, Treasurer Nitin Gupta, along with a large number of traders and mandi employees, were present on the occasion.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad and exchange of greetings among the participants on the auspicious occasion.
