SHOPIAN: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian, under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, today organized a Special Lok Adalat for the amicable settlement of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) and Matrimonial cases.
The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Chairman, DLSA Shopian (Principal District & Sessions Judge) at the District Court Complex, Shopian.
For the smooth conduct of proceedings, one Bench was constituted by the DLSA. A total of 25 cases, including MACT and Matrimonial matters, were listed for consideration. Out of these, 18 cases were successfully settled through mutual agreement, resulting in a total settlement amount of Rs.55,88,965.
