JAMMU: In a continued effort to reclaim government land from illegal encroachments, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today conducted a major anti-encroachment operation at Kore Jagir, Nagrota, successfully retrieving around 50 kanal of prime JDA land.
During the operation, the enforcement team demolished three unauthorized structures and two plinths constructed illegally over Khasra No. 504. After clearance, a JDA ownership signboard was installed at the site to deter any future encroachment attempts.
The drive was carried out under the directions of Vice Chairman, JDA, Shri Rupesh Kumar, as part of the Authority’s intensified campaign against illegal constructions and encroachments on JDA land across the Jammu region.
A senior JDA official stated that the authority has adopted a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal land use and encroachments, and similar operations will continue in the coming days to ensure strict enforcement of land and building regulations.
The Jammu Development Authority has also directed its enforcement teams to maintain continuous surveillance and take immediate action against any fresh attempts of illegal occupation or unauthorized construction on government land.
This operation marks another significant step in JDA’s mission to protect public property and restore planned urban development across Jammu.
