LEH: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, chaired a high-level review meeting in Leh today, assessing the overall situation in the Union Territory, including law and order, essential services, and development initiatives.
Gupta reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, ensuring public welfare, and advancing Ladakh’s vision as a model of sustainable and inclusive growth. He appreciated the coordinated efforts of the district administration, police, and security agencies in maintaining harmony and normalcy across the region.
In view of improving conditions and positive public response, the Lt Governor directed officials to ease certain restrictions in a calibrated manner, while emphasizing that peace and public order must continue to be maintained. He highlighted that public cooperation and responsible behavior have been crucial in restoring normalcy.
Gupta stressed the importance of responsive, people-centric governance, urging officers to maintain close engagement with local communities and address grievances promptly at the grassroots level.
Acknowledging the patience and resilience of the people of Ladakh, he commended their faith in the Administration and collective spirit in upholding peace and unity. He assured that the government remains fully committed to safeguarding public interests, improving quality of life, and ensuring inclusive development.
The Lt Governor expressed confidence in the people of Ladakh for choosing peaceful cooperation and reiterated that the Administration will continue to address genuine concerns through continuous engagement, transparency, and participatory development. He appealed to all sections of society to work together in strengthening peace and unity for Ladakh’s brighter future.
Concluding the meeting, Kavinder Gupta reiterated that peace, development, and welfare remain the guiding pillars of the Administration’s policy framework, reaffirming his vision to transform Ladakh into a prosperous, resilient, and self-reliant region.
