JAMMU: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced the closure of all government and private schools across the Jammu Division on October 6 and 7 in view of heavy rainfall forecasts.
The order, issued by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, comes following a weather advisory from the Indian Meteorological Department, which has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in several areas of the division.
“To ensure the safety and security of students and staff, all Government and Private Schools across Jammu Division shall remain closed on 06-10-2025 (Monday) and 07-10-2025 (Tuesday),” the order reads.
Authorities have assured that further updates will be provided based on the evolving weather situation.
