POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today reviewed the progress of developmental initiatives in Aspirational Block Mankote under the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP).
The meeting was attended by Joint Director (P&S) / Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed; Programme Officer ICDS, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Tehsildar (HQ), District Statistics & Evaluation Officer (Nodal Officer ABP Mankote), Chief Medical, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, DSWO, LDM Bank, AD FCS & CA, Dy. CEO Mendhar, BDO Mankote, BMO Mendhar and other concerned officers/officials.
At the outset, District Statistics & Evaluation Officer / Nodal Officer ABP Mankote presented a detailed presentation on the latest status and key performance indicators of Block Mankote covering Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and allied services, Financial Inclusion, Skill Development and Basic Infrastructure.
The DDC took sector-wise review of all the indicators and emphasized on 100% saturation of all deliverables under ABP. He directed all the concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure time-bound completion of all ongoing works and filling of gaps.
The DDC further stressed upon improving health indicators, increasing enrollment and retention in schools, providing better extension services to farmers, ensuring financial inclusion and accelerating infrastructure development in the Aspirational Block.
He also directed the officers to regularly update the data on the ABP portal and ensure that the benefits of all government schemes reach to the last person in the block.
