SHOPIAN: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Shopian today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the district.
ADDC held detailed discussions with the concerned departments regarding the effective implementation of NAPS and stressed the need for close coordination among all stakeholders to maximise apprenticeship opportunities for local youth.
ADDC directed the concerned officers to take necessary measures for wider participation and ensure that eligible youth and establishments are suitably facilitated under the scheme. He also called for regular coordination and timely action to achieve the intended objectives of the apprenticeship programme.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned departments to work in a coordinated manner for effective implementation of NAPS and promotion of skill development and employment opportunities among the youth of the district.
The meeting was attended by General Manager, DIC, Shurjil Naik, CMO, CAHO, CHO, CEO, District LDM and other District officers and representatives.
