KATRA: Reasi Police apprehended an interstate drug peddler during routine patrolling in Katra and recovered 4.14 grams of heroin from his possession, police said.
The accused has been identified as Rehan Khosla, son of Javer Kosla, a resident of Lahori Gate, Amritsar, who was presently residing in Katra.
Police said a team from Police Station Katra intercepted the accused during patrolling on September 5. During his search, 4.14 grams of heroin was recovered.
In this connection, FIR No. 283/2026 has been registered at Police Station Katra under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation has been initiated.
Reasi Police reiterated its commitment to combating drug trafficking and substance abuse and appealed to the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in efforts to make the district drug-free.
