SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that the terrorist neutralised during Operation Ashdar has been identified as Yasir, a Pakistani national affiliated with the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit.
In a post on social media, the J&K Police said the identification had been established following the operation. Sharing the information with the message, “You Can Run But You Can’t Hide!”, police said the slain terrorist was a Pakistani national associated with LeT.
The development comes amid stepped-up counter-terror operations across Jammu and Kashmir aimed at tracking and neutralising foreign terrorists operating in the region.
Security forces have intensified surveillance and intelligence-based operations in vulnerable areas as part of efforts to prevent infiltration and dismantle terrorist networks.
