SRINAGAR: The Dean, Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Srinagar, organized a three-day workshop on “Research Methodology” for Ph.D. scholars of the Maidan Batch 2025 at the Government College of Education (IASE), M.A. Road, Srinagar, a constituent college of Cluster University of Srinagar.
Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Mobin, Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University of Srinagar, in his comprehensive address, elaborated on the fundamentals of research, the evolving landscape of academic scholarship, and the way forward for doctoral researchers.
Prof. (Dr.) Mobin also provided valuable guidance to scholars and supervisors on research ethics, academic integrity, originality, and the challenges associated with doctoral research. He emphasized that a successful research journey demands more than methodological rigour, requiring critical thinking, ethical conduct, intellectual curiosity, originality, and a clear sense of purpose.
During his detailed presentation, the Vice-Chancellor discussed various dimensions of research methodology and encouraged the scholars to approach their research with curiosity, commitment, and a strong focus on generating knowledge with meaningful academic and societal relevance. He also assured the scholars and supervisors that the University would extend all possible support and facilitate the requisite resources and infrastructure to promote quality research.
Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naaz, Dean, Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Srinagar, in her address, underscored the critical role of research methodology in conducting systematic, credible, and meaningful research, emphasizing that a sound methodological foundation is essential for the successful completion of a Ph.D. programme.
Dr. Ghulam Hassan Dar, Assistant Professor, Cluster University of Srinagar, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the Dean, Academic Affairs, for initiating the workshop and for their continued efforts towards strengthening and enriching the Ph.D. programme at the University.
The three-day workshop is aimed at equipping doctoral scholars with essential conceptual and practical understanding of research methodology and strengthening their capacity to undertake rigorous, ethical, and impactful academic research.
