BANDIPORA: Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bandipora organised a meaningful and thought-provoking “Dosti Discussion” under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) to engage students in an open dialogue on the growing menace of drug abuse and measures to prevent it.
The programme was presided over by Dr. G.M. Pujju, Deputy Chief Education Officer (Dy. CEO), Bandipora, who attended the event as the Visiting Officer. Jawaid Ahmad Magray, Principal, GHSS Bandipora, along with faculty members, officials from the Chief Education Officer’s office and students, also participated in the programme.

Dr. G.M. Pujju, along with the Principal, interacted with the students and responded to their queries with clarity and sensitivity. The interaction provided students with valuable insights into the physical, psychological and social consequences of substance abuse, while also highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention and collective action.

Her thoughtful participation reflected the importance of encouraging young students to become informed and active voices in the fight against substance abuse.
The discussion concluded with a collective resolve to contribute towards building a drug-free society and strengthening efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse. The interactive format encouraged students to think critically, express their views openly and recognise their responsibility in promoting a healthier, safer and more responsible society.
On the occasion, Principal Jawaid Ahmad Magray expressed hope that such awareness programmes would continue to be organised and assured the school’s full support for initiatives aimed at educating students and strengthening the campaign for a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
