POONCH: The government functionaries and local people accorded a warm welcome to the Budha Amarnath Yatris at the Transit Camp B.G, Mendhar.
The citizens of Mendhar Town joined the administration in ensuring the safety and well-being of the visiting devotees.
Besides other facilities, a dedicated Medical Health Camp has been established at the place to provide medical services to pilgrims during the Yatra period (August 17 to August 27, 2026).
The medical arrangements have been made under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma, with the active coordination of the local Administration led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Imran Rashid Kataria, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan and local BMO Dr. Ghazala.
The health department has made available sufficient stocks of medicines, medical equipment, logistics and other essential supplies required for the smooth functioning of the camp during the Yatra period. Ambulance services and other provisions have also been kept standby to ensure an immediate response and transportation in case of any medical emergency during the Yatra.
The medical team and supporting staff have been advised to perform their duties with dedication, discipline and a spirit of service, ensuring safe, smooth and hassle-free healthcare support to all Budha Amarnath Yatris throughout their stay and transit through Mendhar.
