UJJAIN: Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Monday visited prominent temples in Ujjain and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Himachal Pradesh and the nation.
The Governor visited Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, Shri Kal Bhairav Temple and Shri Mangalnath Temple during his visit to the holy city.
At Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, Gupta participated in the sacred Bhasma Aarti and offered prayers to Lord Mahakal.
He later paid obeisance at Shri Kal Bhairav Temple and Shri Mangalnath Temple, where he performed puja and sought blessings.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said Ujjain occupies a unique place in India’s spiritual and cultural heritage and that the divine atmosphere of its ancient temples reflects the country’s rich traditions of faith and devotion.
Gupta prayed to Lord Mahakal, Baba Kal Bhairav and Lord Mangalnath for continued progress, happiness and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh and the country.
