ANANTNAG: Under the directions of Dr. Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Chief Justice of High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Patron in Chief JKLSA and Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority, 3rd National Lok Adalat was organized today, in District Court Complex Anantnag and Taluka Courts of District Anantnag.
The National Lok Adalat was inaugurated by Masarat Roohi Incharge Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairperson District Legal Services Authority), Anantnag, at District Court Complex Anantnag.
Each Court had identified cases for Lok Adalat beforehand and same were placed before eight different benches constituted by DLSA Anantnag for their settlement in National Lok Adalat.
The first Bench comprised of Masarat Roohi, I/C Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge Anantnag and Adv. Raja Mohammad Maqbool, while the second Bench Comprised of Sajad Ur Rehman, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Anantnag and Ahtzaz Ahmed, Principal Magistrate JJB, Anantnag.
The third Bench comprised of Lubna Sultan, Special Mobile Magistrate, Anantnag and Anuraj Khajuria, District Mobile Magistrate, Anantnag. The fourth Bench comprised of Rajeev Kumar Tedyal, Sub Judge Bijbehara and Advocate Imam Khurshid Ahmad Shah.
Likewise, the fifth Bench comprised of Altaf Ahmad Mir, Sub Judge Vailoo and Advocate Showkat Ali Khan. The sixth Bench comprised of Arshad Aziz Qureshi, Munsiff/ JMIC Anantnag and Advocate Bilal Ahmad Dar at Aishmuqam.
The seventh Bench comprised of Faza ul Haq, Munsiff Shangus and Advocate Showkat Ahmad Rather and the eighth Bench comprised of Faza ul Haq, Munsiff Shangus and Advocate Bashir Ahmad Rather at Musiff Court Dooru.
A total number of 758 matters were taken up for their amicable settlement, out of which 225 matters were settled. Besides, an amount of Rs 3, 01, 28478 was realized in the settlement.
