JAMMU: The Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu today organised a special programme to mark the celebration of Sewa Parv at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu.
On the occasion, a street play (Nukkad Natak) was presented by the artists of the Cultural Unit, Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu, highlighting the values of service, dedication and community welfare. The play conveyed the significance of “Sewa” (selfless service) as a guiding principle in building a compassionate and progressive society and also aware the students regarding different schemes initiated by the Indian Govt.
Principal Dr Romesh Gupta, Dr Vandana Khajuria, staff members and a large number of students of the college witnessed the performance and appreciated the efforts of the artists in creatively spreading the message of Sewa Parv. The event not only entertained but also inspired the audience to imbibe the spirit of selfless service in their personal and professional lives.
The said programme was fully supported by the cultural team and Dr. Yasmeen Mughal, Convener cultural committee, GGM Science College, Jammu.
The Department of Information and Public Relations reaffirmed its commitment to using art and culture as effective tools for mass awareness and to promote positive social values through community outreach programmes.
The programme was conducted under the directions of Joint Director Information, Jammu and under the supervision of Cultural Officer.
