RAMBAN: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool Imtiaz Ahmed along with Tehsildar Harjeet Singh and SDPO Kuldeep Raj, today conducted a surprise inspection at Tatapani, a popular destination known for its health and wellness value.
During the inspection, the officers checked hotels and eateries to ensure compliance with legal provisions, hygiene standards and fair pricing for visitors. An enforcement drive was also carried out against the illegal encroachments in the area.
The officers directed all shopkeepers and stakeholders to adhere to quality standards, warning strict action against violators in the future. The SDM also instructed concerned officials to conduct regular inspections in Tatapani to safeguard the interests of the visiting public and to maintain the reputation of the destination as a safe and hygienic wellness spot.
The SDM emphasized that Tatapani attracts a large number of tourists and local visitors every year, and therefore maintaining cleanliness, order and proper facilities is essential for promoting tourism and ensuring a positive experience for all.
He urged the local community and business owners to cooperate with the administration in keeping the area well-managed and welcoming.
