DODA: Member Legislative Assembly Doda Mehraj Malik on Friday chaired a meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of District Hospital in the Committee Room (Meeting Hall) of Government Medical College Main Campus Ghat.
The meeting comprehensively reviewed key initiatives launched to improve patient care, upgrade diagnostic and treatment facilities, besides the utilization of RKS funds.
The discussion focused on the procurement of essential medical equipment, strengthening emergency and critical care services, completing infrastructure projects in a time-bound manner and addressing public grievances to enhance patient satisfaction.
The functionaries from JKPCC, ICDS, PHE, PDD, R&B and medical professionals including Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather (Medical Superintendent and Member Secretary RKS), Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Consultant Surgeon), Dr. Zia Shoukat Mughal (Medical Officer) and Dr. Walied Khawar Balwan, provided valuable suggestions to strengthen healthcare delivery.
The committee emphasized transparent financial management, augmentation of medical manpower and adoption of innovative strategies to provide modern healthcare facilities at GMC Doda. Regular follow-up reviews were recommended to ensure the effective implementation of all decisions.
The meeting was also attended by Principal GMC Dr Rakesh Kumar Bhal, district program officer ICDS Akhtar Hussain Qazi, CMO Dr. Om Kumar and other senior officials.
